The Importance of Training and Accreditation for Professional Practice in Mediumship.
While it is not a legal requirement for a medium to obtain a Certificate of Accreditation to practice professionally, accreditation with a globally respected organisation, (for example, International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine -IPHM) gives reassurance to the client that the medium has received adequate training and understanding in Spirit Communication.
It ensures that the practising medium has been fully trained to connect with Spirit with empathy and sensitivity, and information then delivered to the client to an expected standard.
Many of us are born natural mediums, which may suggest the training is not needed.
Working as a medium requires the development of the ability to connect with the spirit vibration and the understanding of the responsibility of the role. Knowledge of the management of a bereaved client and sensitive delivery of information is also a key part of the process.
Under guidance and instruction from an experienced training medium, the skill of mediumship can be directed so that messages, signs and information given from Spirit can be expanded and received more clearly.
Often when a person is seeking the support of a medium, they have been through, and may still be in the process of bereavement. This is a highly sensitive state which requires the ability to empathise, so that the communication between the Spirit loved one, and the grieving client, can be managed with the highest skill and integrity.
Mediumship training covers and explores these areas so that the working medium is fully prepared and that the highest standards are met and maintained.
